center a little darker than other areas like the Cuisinart, too slick for the pancake to stick

  • 7Sensarte Swiss Non-Stick

no sticking at all, center slightly darker than the outer perimeter, second flip went very smoothly

  • 8Carote

part of the pancake cooked noticeably faster than the rest due to the temperature spread, but did not stick

  • 12HexClad Hybrid Tri-Ply Construction

did not cook quite as evenly as some other skillets, but did not stick

  • 13Blue Diamond Diamond Infused Ceramic Non-Stick

hot spot caused a dark, almost burned area in the middle; pancake stuck slightly to the pan

  • 14Made In Blue Carbon Steel Frying Pan

the large temperature difference caused the pancake to burn badly and stick to the pan

Egg test

  • 1Granitestone Diamond Pro

no sticking when flipped, fell away from the pan onto the plate with minimal effort

  • 2OXO Hard Anodized Non-Stick (three-layer German-engineered coating)

egg mostly stayed together in the middle, egg white moved toward the outer area; lifted with minimal stickiness at 2 minutes, detached when the skillet was flipped after 3 minutes

lifted very easily at 2 minutes, similar to the Anolon; required a little back and forth shaking to fully release after 3 minutes

  • 4Tramontina Professional Aluminum Non-Stick Restaurant Fry Pan

egg white stayed together well, lifted without sticking at 2 minutes, shaken loose easily after 3 minutes; called a very good job

  • 5Ninja Ceramic Plasma Non-Stick

egg mostly stayed together but moved to the outer area; lifted very easily at 2 minutes and shaken loose easily after 3 minutes, called very slick

  • 6GreenPan Ceramic Non-Stick

bowl-shaped pan, eggs stayed together nicely, lifted very easily with very little sticking at 2 minutes; after 3 minutes could not be fully shaken loose and the pan held onto part of the egg, described as not quite as slick as some other pans

  • 7Sensarte Swiss Non-Stick

egg stayed together pretty nicely, lifted without sticking at 2 minutes; after 3 minutes could not be fully shaken loose but broke away when the skillet was flipped

  • 8Carote

egg mostly stayed together but the egg white drifted toward the side since the pan's center is higher than its perimeter; lifted freely at 2 minutes, took some effort to shake loose after 3 minutes, called a very good job

  • 9Anolon

egg spread out since the pan's center is a little taller than its perimeter; little to no sticking at 2 minutes, shaken loose very easily after 3 minutes, called a pretty slick pan

  • 10Cuisinart Chef's Classic Hard Anodized (Quantanium surface)

egg white spread out to cover a large area since the pan is not perfectly flat or bowl shaped; lifted off easily at about 2 minutes, became stuck to the pan after 3 minutes

  • 11Imarku Non-Stick Cast Iron Skillet (honeycomb non-stick technology)

egg spread out, lifted away easily at 2 minutes, broke free with a little back and forth shaking after 3 minutes, called a pretty slick pan

  • 12HexClad Hybrid Tri-Ply Construction

bowl shaped with noticeable surface texture, eggs stayed together very nicely, lifted very easily at 2 minutes; after 3 minutes could be shaken free but took noticeably more effort than the Imarku

  • 13Blue Diamond Diamond Infused Ceramic Non-Stick

small amount of stickiness at 2 minutes; after 3 minutes the egg became essentially glued to the pan

    151 degrees F

about 20 degrees cooler than the Blue Diamond

  • 2OXO Hard Anodized Non-Stick (three-layer German-engineered coating)

performed nearly the same as the Blue Diamond, reported around 171 to 177 degrees F depending on the exact sentence in the transcript (garbled figure, see videoNotes)

described as very close to 40 degrees cooler than the Cuisinart

  • 4Tramontina Professional Aluminum Non-Stick Restaurant Fry Pan
    147.4 degrees F

less thermally efficient than the Granitestone

  • 5Ninja Ceramic Plasma Non-Stick

reported as trailing the GreenPan by almost 40 degrees F, transcript figure garbled (see videoNotes)

  • 6GreenPan Ceramic Non-Stick

transcript figure for this pan is internally inconsistent/garbled (a stated 102.6 degrees F conflicts with being called 'even more efficient'); not confidently resolvable, see videoNotes

performed almost the same as the GreenPan, reported around 147 degrees F

  • 10Cuisinart Chef's Classic Hard Anodized (Quantanium surface)

no cleanly attributable figure found in the transcript; one sentence implies a value around 172 to 177 degrees F relative to the Caraway and Oxo, but it could not be confidently isolated, see videoNotes

  • 11Imarku Non-Stick Cast Iron Skillet (honeycomb non-stick technology)
    159.5 degrees F

described as trailing the leader (Made In, at 186.1) by almost 26 degrees

    171 degrees F

a great result attributed to the pan being very thin

  • 14Made In Blue Carbon Steel Frying Pan
    186.1 degrees F

the best (hottest) result of any pan in the video

quite a bit of stickiness compared to most other pans, though the cheese was not welded on and could be scraped away

  • 13Blue Diamond Diamond Infused Ceramic Non-Stick

cheese became welded to the pan, ruining the attempt

  • 14Made In Blue Carbon Steel Frying Pan

struggled throughout the showdown; cheese became welded to the skillet and the test had to be ended early

How it was tested

  • even heat distribution measured as the temperature delta between the hottest and coolest spot on a 1500 W hot plate
  • cooking pancakes (stick/no-stick and evenness of browning)
  • frying eggs (stick/no-stick, ease of lifting at 2 and 3 minutes)
  • thermal efficiency: time/temperature to heat 5 gallons of water over 5 minutes on a 1500 W hot plate
  • cooking a cheese quesadilla ('cheesemallow') for stick resistance and flip performance
  • scratch resistance using a Mohs hardness pick set, picks numbered 3 through 6

If it's all about value, the Granitestone earns A's in just about every category including scratch resistance. The Oxo also performed very well in most categories, however the Granitestone performed a little bit better for non-stick performance and frying the pancake evenly.

From the test video verdict.
Data notes and caveats

This is a large 14-product showdown; brand names are heavily mangled by auto-captions throughout (Tramontina as 'troa'/'traa,' Sensarte as 'sart'/'sense art'/'S start,' Carote as 'carrot,' Cuisinart as 'queen art'/'quinart'/'que in art,' Caraway as 'carway,' Made In as 'maiden,' Imarku as 'Imark'/'eye Mark'/'IM Mark'); all resolved against the description's 14-brand Products Tested list and the strict price/testing-order sequence, which lines up cleanly with 14 distinct prices from $16 to $185. The thermal efficiency (5-gallon water boil) sub-test has several results that are internally inconsistent or ambiguous in the transcript: GreenPan's stated 102.6 degree figure directly contradicts being described as 'even more efficient,' Sensarte has no individually attributable figure at all, and Cuisinart's and HexClad's figures could only be estimated relative to neighboring brands rather than cleanly isolated; these are flagged per-product above rather than guessed. Two weights (Anolon '1,72 G' and Made In '1,48 G') are almost certainly dropped-digit caption errors versus the 664 to 1,480 g range seen elsewhere in the video; likely corrected values are noted but not asserted as fact. No separate budget pick is named distinct from the winner; the Granitestone (second cheapest at $17) is explicitly framed as both the best performer and the best value, so budgetPick is left null rather than duplicating the winner field. The Made In pan is carbon steel, not a coated non-stick pan, and was excluded from the scratch resistance test and evaluated by the narrator with an explicit fairness caveat rather than being penalized on non-stick terms; it is retained in products[] since it was fully tested head to head on every other metric (pancake, egg, thermal efficiency, cheesemallow). Meta chapters are generic phase labels (Intro, Blue Diamond, NonStick Properties, Frying, Heat, Fry, Scratch Resistance, Coating, Conclusion) that do not map product by product beyond Blue Diamond, so chapterMap is false. Products list is ordered: the two explicitly declared top finishers (Granitestone, Oxo), then Caraway (explicitly discussed third in the closing wrap-up), then the remaining ten by a composite of their sub-test performance since the video does not state one single full ranking beyond the top three.
